EPA Victoria is moving to a new approved air dispersion model on 1 January 2014.
AUSPLUME, the current approved air dispersion model used for modelling air pollution emissions to air, will be replaced by the USEPA regulatory model, AERMOD.
From 1 January, licensed sites modelling air pollution will be required to use AERMOD in assessing their air quality impacts.
A seminar will be held on 14 August 2013 at 3:30 pm, 4th floor Conference Room, EPA Victoria, 200 Victoria Street, Carlton.
The seminar will present:
1. the rationale for changing the approved air dispersion model
2. results of the consequence analysis of transitioning from AUSPLUME to AERMOD
3. draft guidelines providing guidance on the recommended use of the AERMOD model and construction of meteorological input data files.
