Gippsland Lakes condition report 1990–2011

This report examines the long-term trends in water quality of the Gippsland Lakes from 1990 to 2011. It assesses water quality data against the environmental quality objectives specified in the State Environment Protection Policy (Waters of Victoria) [SEPP (WoV)] schedule F3 and schedule F5, for the years 2009, 2010 and 2011. The choice of the assessment years was based on their climatic characteristics, with 2009 being a dry year, 2011 a wet year and 2010 a transition from a dry to a wet year. This report also assesses the influence of major climatic variation (or baseline shifts) on selected water quality parameters. A statement in the report (page 26 paragraph 1) is ambiguous and can lead to misinterpretation. This addendum clarifies our intent with the original sentence and provides a revised paragraph which removes that ambiguity.
