Forecast could lead to poor Brooklyn air quality

EPA has alerted local industry that today's weather conditions could lead to increased dust in Brooklyn.

Industry has been asked to take mitigation measures to stop dust being raised from their site.

The Bureau of Meteorology is forecasting dry and consistent northerly winds for the rest of the day.

These weather conditions are often associated with poor air quality in Brooklyn.

Local schools were not advised as it is school holidays.
