Burst main cause of discolouration at Darebin Creek

23 Mar 2015

Milky discolouration caused by a burst main has been reported at Darebin Creek, upstream of Ford Street, Thornbury. Environment Protection Authority Victoria (EPA) responded over the weekend in conjunction with Yarra Valley Water and the water main responsible for the issue has now been fixed. While the burst main has been fixed, discolouration may continue as sediment settles. EPA advises the community to avoid contact until further notice.
