The health of streams in the Goulburn / Broken Catchment were assessed using a combination of water quality, biological and habitat measures. Stream health was found to deteriorate with increasing human disturbance throughout the catchment. Sediment and nutrient enrichment, and modification to natural flow regimes were identified as major sources of impacts to streams in the catchment.
