An EIP is a public commitment by a company to improve its environmental performance. This publication provides an overview of what an environment improvement plan (EIP) is and information on the process of how to go about developing one. An EIP is usually developed between company representatives, environmental and planning regulators and surrounding communities and outlines areas for improvement including actions and time lines.
