This guideline provides practical guidance on how to comply with the Waste Management Policy (Combustible Recyclable and Waste Materials). The policy requires occupiers to: (i) understand the fire hazards associated with their activities and take steps to reduce the fire risk associated with those hazards; (ii) manage and store combustible recyclable and waste materials (CRWM) in a manner that protects the environment and human health from the risk of fire; and (iii) prepare an emergency management plan in response to a fire emergency.
