During the 2006—07 bushfires, EPA monitored air quality across different regions of Victoria and provided advice to the community so people could take measures to reduce the impact of bushfire smoke on their health. EPA is working with the Department of Human Services to better understand the health effects experienced by the Victorian community as a result of bushfires.
